Blackwell Wool Mattress

Woolroom · £2,902

A white quilted wool mattress with hand side-stitching and a Woolroom label, on a divan base.

Nice, but provisional

A 2,000-count calico pocket spring system at king, in soft, medium or firm, with fifteen years against manufacturing defects. At £2,901.75 it is £1,035 more than the Standen for 600 more springs and the same guarantee, so what you are buying is the finer spring count rather than a longer life. On a wool mattress that is a real difference in how closely it follows you, and it is a lot of money for it.

For
Someone who has slept on a good wool mattress and wants the next step up in spring count.
Not for
Anyone for whom the Standen would do, which on these specifications is most people.
