£529 and the awkward one: it has a built-in timer and variable speed, and it has no programme settings at all, where the £498.95 Explorian below it has three. You are paying £30 more for the Ascent body and losing the presets to do it. Buy it if you like setting a blender by hand and want the Ascent jug fitment; otherwise look either side of it.
