Diamond 580 Fountain Pen
TWSBI · £53

Worth being NRY provisional
Fifty-three pounds for a piston filler with a clear barrel, which is a combination that did not exist at this price before TWSBI made it. A piston draws ink directly into the body rather than through a cartridge, so it holds several times as much and you can see exactly how much is left. The nib is polished steel and perfectly good; what you are buying is the mechanism and the view of it.
- For
- Anyone who wants to understand what a fountain pen actually is before spending more.
- Not for
- Somebody who wants to use cartridges. A piston filler cannot.
What we checked
Marked provisional: the justification rests on 1 source(s); two independent ones is the bar. We publish it anyway and say so, rather than waiting for evidence that may never arrive.
