Worth being NRY provisional
The SL1210 drive mechanism with the DJ parts taken off, which is exactly the right subtraction for a home deck: you keep the motor and lose the pitch slider and the target light. It has a phono stage built in, so it will work with any amplifier rather than needing a particular one. At £899 it is the most sensible turntable on this page.
- For
- Someone who wants Technics engineering without the club fittings.
- Not for
- Anyone who will use the pitch control, which this deliberately does not have.
What we checked
- It keeps the SL1210 drive mechanism and removes the DJ components for home use. Richer Sounds
Marked provisional: the justification rests on 1 source(s); two independent ones is the bar. We publish it anyway and say so, rather than waiting for evidence that may never arrive.
