TaylorMade Spider Tour X Torched L-Neck Golf Putter
TaylorMade · £299

Worth being NRY provisional
The Spider is the most copied putter shape of the last twenty years because the wide body puts weight at the extremes and makes the head resist twisting on an off-centre strike. Two hundred and ninety-nine pounds for the current Tour X, in an L-neck hosel that suits a slight arc rather than a straight stroke. If you miss putts left and right rather than short and long, this shape is the one that helps.
- For
- Somebody whose strike wanders across the face, which is most amateur golfers.
- Not for
- A traditionalist. It is a large object and it looks like one.
What we checked
- Built on the Spider’s stability in an L-neck hosel. Golf Gear Direct
Marked provisional: the justification rests on 1 source(s); two independent ones is the bar. We publish it anyway and say so, rather than waiting for evidence that may never arrive.
