Lambswool Crew Neck
Sunspel · £285

Worth being NRY provisional
Knitted in Scotland from yarn spun in Fife by one of the oldest spinners in the world, then washed in Scottish spring water to soften the fibres rather than treated with chemicals to fake it. That washing is the difference between a lambswool jumper that softens with age and one that pills. At £285 it sits between the merino and the cashmere and is the most useful of the three.
- For
- Someone who wants a jumper for a decade and will wash it properly.
- Not for
- Anyone who needs machine washing, which this will not survive indefinitely.
What we checked

Marked provisional: the justification rests on 1 source(s); two independent ones is the bar. We publish it anyway and say so, rather than waiting for evidence that may never arrive.
