A7C II Black, body only
Sony · £1,799
Worth being NRY provisional
33 megapixels of full-frame in a rangefinder-shaped body with a dedicated AI processor for focus, £1,799 against a £1,999 list. Sony’s autofocus is the thing other makers are still catching up with, and the compact shape means you get it without carrying a brick. The viewfinder is small for the money, which is where the size came from.
- For
- Someone who wants the best autofocus available in a body that fits in a coat pocket.
- Not for
- Anyone who composes through the viewfinder all day: it is noticeably small.
What we checked
- A 33MP full-frame sensor with a dedicated AI processor for focus. Park Cameras
Marked provisional: the justification rests on 1 source(s); two independent ones is the bar. We publish it anyway and say so, rather than waiting for evidence that may never arrive.
