It’s good, but this feels more NRY: Bang & Olufsen Beosound A1, £299
A Sonos that fits in a bag and survives being rained on, which is genuinely different from the mains speakers around it. The difficulty is what £179 buys elsewhere: the same money gets the Era 100, a bigger speaker with no battery to age, and £120 more gets the Beosound A1 in milled aluminium with twice the playtime. Buy it to stay inside the Sonos system, which is a real reason, rather than because it is the portable speaker to own.
