Move 2
Sonos · £405
Nice, but provisional
The big portable: stereo from one box on a new acoustic architecture, with a battery and a handle. It is the most speaker you can pick up, and at £405 it costs more than the Era 300 which is better still and stays where you put it. The battery is the whole premium and also the part that will age first.
- For
- Someone who moves a speaker between rooms and the garden and wants it to be good.
- Not for
- Anyone whose speaker will live on one shelf, where the money buys more without a battery.
What we checked
- Sonos give it a new acoustic architecture for stereo from a single unit. Richer Sounds
Marked provisional: the justification rests on 1 source(s); two independent ones is the bar. We publish it anyway and say so, rather than waiting for evidence that may never arrive.
