Era 300
Sonos · £499

Worth being NRY provisional
Six drivers aimed in several directions including upwards, which is what the odd hourglass shape is for and what separates this from a louder Era 100. It is the one Sonos speaker that does something a conventional box cannot, rather than doing the same thing bigger. At £499 it is the sensible top of the Sonos range before the money starts going into separates.
- For
- Someone who wants one speaker to fill a living room properly.
- Not for
- Anyone building a stereo pair, where two Era 100s cost less and image better.
What we checked
- Sonos describe it as a new dimension in sound, with drivers aimed in several directions. Richer Sounds
Marked provisional: the justification rests on 1 source(s); two independent ones is the bar. We publish it anyway and say so, rather than waiting for evidence that may never arrive.
