Smeg · £130
Nice, but provisional
The 1950s-styled Smeg at £129.95, available in a dozen colours, and bought almost entirely for how it looks on a worktop. That is a real reason and it is the only one: against the £94.95 Dualit Architect it costs £35 more and gives up replaceable elements, and against the Sage at £128.95 it gives up the motorised carriage.
- For
- Someone building a kitchen around a colour and wanting the toaster to join in.
- Not for
- Anyone who would rather the £130 went into how the toaster works.
What we checked
- Smeg sell it on 1950s styling and a range of colours. John Lewis
Marked provisional: the justification rests on 1 source(s); two independent ones is the bar. We publish it anyway and say so, rather than waiting for evidence that may never arrive.
