The traditional round bottom, hand hammered, uncoated carbon steel, £45. It is the proper shape and it will be the best wok here on a gas ring with a wok burner. On any modern flat hob it needs a ring to stand in, sold separately, and a wok sitting in a ring is a wok sitting further from the heat.
