1911 Realo Fountain Pen
Sailor · £360

Nice, but provisional
Sailor's nibs are the most distinctive in production, with a feedback on paper that people either seek out or dislike on sight, and the Realo is the 1911 in its large piston-filling form. The resin body is plain to the point of austerity. Three hundred and sixty pounds is a lot for a pen whose chief attraction is a writing sensation you cannot assess without trying one.
- For
- Somebody who has written with a Sailor nib and wants to own one.
- Not for
- Anyone buying unseen. This is the pen in this list most worth trying first.
What we checked
- A large piston-filling pen in resin. Pure Pens
Marked provisional: the justification rests on 1 source(s); two independent ones is the bar. We publish it anyway and say so, rather than waiting for evidence that may never arrive.
