Eight hundred millilitres of bowl, four of them, dishwasher safe, for sixty-five pounds. Extreme is Riedel's machine-made line and the bowl is enormous, which is the point: a large bowl gives a big red room to breathe without decanting and lets you swirl without wearing it, though the faceted shape is unusual and divides people. At sixteen pounds a glass this is the best value in Riedel's range by some way.
