Worth being NRY provisional
RH have been making these for decades and the 220 is where the range gets serious: 406 to 550mm of seat height, 100mm of seat slide, a 620mm backrest and a lumbar pump as standard rather than an upgrade. What it is actually for is staying upright through a long day, and the mechanism keeps your feet on the floor as you lean back instead of lifting your thighs off the seat. At 20.4kg it is a heavy thing, and it arrives boxed for you to build.
- For
- Someone with a back that complains by four o'clock and who will use the adjustments.
- Not for
- Anyone who wants a chair delivered assembled, or a lighter one to move about.
What we checked
- The base build adjusts 406 to 550mm in height with 100mm of seat slide, and the lumbar pump is standard. Back in Action
- The seat front barely moves as you lean back, so your feet stay down. Back in Action
- It ships boxed for self assembly. Back in Action
Marked provisional: the justification rests on 1 source(s); two independent ones is the bar. We publish it anyway and say so, rather than waiting for evidence that may never arrive.
