A heavier platter and a revised motor suspension over the Debut Carbon it replaces, with the carbon fibre arm that made that deck the default recommendation under £500. At £439 this is the least you can spend and still be buying engineering rather than a lifestyle object with a stylus attached. It is the one to start with unless you already know what you want to upgrade.
