Karu 2 Pro Multi-Fuel Pizza Oven
Ooni · £699

Nice, but
A 17 inch cooking area and the same wood, charcoal or gas choice as the Karu 2, with the gas burner fitting in under a minute. Two testers rate it the best domestic pizza oven they have used, one measuring 401C in twenty minutes on a cold day, and both flag the same practical catch: it is 28kg, it takes real storage space, and the peels and gas kit they tested with are not in the £699 box. Worth it if you cook for a crowd often enough that turning out pizzas one at a time has become the bottleneck.
- For
- Someone feeding six or more regularly who has outgrown a 12 inch stone.
- Not for
- Anyone cooking for two, where the smaller Karu does the same job for half the money, or anyone short of somewhere to store 81cm of oven.
