Vig Outdoor Dining Chair
Normann Copenhagen · £325

Worth being NRY provisional
Oiled Robinia on a double powder-coated steel frame, which is an unusual and sensible pair of materials: Robinia, or black locust, resists rot without treatment and is harder than teak, and the double coat is there because one coat is where outdoor steel starts rusting. It stacks, which matters more than it sounds in a small garden. At £325 it is the cheapest chair here that is actually wood.
- For
- Anyone building a dining set a few chairs at a time, who wants timber rather than moulded plastic.
- Not for
- Someone who wants a cushioned seat out of the box: this is a hard slatted chair.

Marked provisional: the justification rests on 1 source(s); two independent ones is the bar. We publish it anyway and say so, rather than waiting for evidence that may never arrive.
