A double-breasted navy blazer in Loro Piana cashmere, and it feels exactly as good as that sounds. The thing to know before spending £1,495 is that cashmere is softer than wool and less hard-wearing: it pills at the cuffs and the collar where a worsted would not, so this is a jacket for occasions rather than for Tuesdays. A good part of the premium is the cloth merchant and the handle rather than the years it will give you.
