Z50 II, body only
Nikon · £939
Worth being NRY provisional
Nikon put their EXPEED 7 processor, the one from the professional bodies, into a £939 APS-C camera, and that is unusual enough to be the reason to buy it. Subject detection and Pre-Release Capture, which records frames from before you finished pressing the button, are features that used to cost three times this.
- For
- Someone photographing children or animals, where the camera deciding what to focus on matters.
- Not for
- Anyone invested in another lens mount: the body is the cheap part of this decision.
What we checked
- It carries EXPEED 7, subject detection and Pre-Release Capture. Park Cameras
Marked provisional: the justification rests on 1 source(s); two independent ones is the bar. We publish it anyway and say so, rather than waiting for evidence that may never arrive.
