Spun Iron Frying Pan, 10 inch

Netherton Foundry · £82

A spun iron frying pan with a wooden handle.

Worth being NRY provisional

Spun iron, made in Shropshire, with an oak handle, and Sous Chef put the case better than we could: it is the non-stick pan for people who dislike non-stick pans. A seasoned iron surface improves with use where PTFE degrades with it, and this one is British-made at £81.99 for the 10 inch. The oak handle means it is less oven-friendly than a bare iron pan.

For
Someone who wants British-made iron and likes that the pan will outlive them.
Not for
Anyone who finishes dishes under a hot grill: the wooden handle limits that.

Marked provisional: the justification rests on 1 source(s); two independent ones is the bar. We publish it anyway and say so, rather than waiting for evidence that may never arrive.
