Nice, but provisional
Dual-composite diaphragms balancing rigidity against weight, in walnut and cast metal, and they are among the best-looking headphones anyone makes. The sound is detailed and quick, and so is the Sennheiser HD 660S2 at half the money in the same open-back format. A real part of the £769 is the wood, the metal and the fact that you will want to leave them out on the desk.
- For
- Someone who wants an object as well as a transducer, and will look at it daily.
- Not for
- Anyone buying purely on sound per pound, where the open-back field is brutal at £399.
What we checked
- It uses dual-composite diaphragms to balance light weight against rigidity. Richer Sounds
Marked provisional: the justification rests on 1 source(s); two independent ones is the bar. We publish it anyway and say so, rather than waiting for evidence that may never arrive.
