Signature Cast Iron 30cm Shallow Casserole
Le Creuset · £268

Nice, but provisional
Three point two litres across thirty centimetres, so a wide shallow pan rather than a deep one: good for browning in volume and for anything you want to reduce rather than submerge. It is a specialist's second dish at a generalist's price, and most kitchens want the depth first.
- For
- Someone who already owns a deep casserole and wants the wide one.
- Not for
- Anyone buying their first. Depth is more useful than width.

Marked provisional: the justification rests on 1 source(s); two independent ones is the bar. We publish it anyway and say so, rather than waiting for evidence that may never arrive.
