Nice, but provisional
Four legs instead of two, which is the whole point: it looks like a table rather than a mechanism, and Back in Action say they spent years looking for one that did. The engineering is rated at 10,000 cycles at full load and it travels 68 to 118cm at 30mm a second, which is slower than the £1,050 Advance, on 100kg rather than 120kg. The money buys the four legs.
- For
- Someone furnishing a room where the desk is visible and a steel frame would spoil it.
- Not for
- Anyone who wants the most capable desk for the money: the Advance is better on paper for half.
What we checked
- A 1300 to 1800mm frame, 680 to 1180mm of height, 100kg of load, 30mm a second. Back in Action
- The mechanism is rated at 10,000 cycles at full load. Back in Action
- Back in Action describe it as a standing desk with four legs that does not look like one. Back in Action
Marked provisional: the justification rests on 1 source(s); two independent ones is the bar. We publish it anyway and say so, rather than waiting for evidence that may never arrive.
