LS50 Wireless II
KEF · £2,199
Worth being NRY provisional
The LS50 cabinet with amplification, conversion and streaming inside it, which is as close as a two-box system gets to being a complete hi-fi. Everything is matched to everything by the people who designed the drivers, which is the argument active speakers have always had and rarely won this convincingly. At £2,199 it is well past the band this site is mostly about, and it replaces four other purchases.
- For
- Someone replacing a whole system who wants two boxes and a power lead.
- Not for
- Anyone who enjoys choosing components, because this decides all of it for you.
What we checked
- KEF pitch it as a complete award-winning system rather than a speaker. Richer Sounds
Marked provisional: the justification rests on 1 source(s); two independent ones is the bar. We publish it anyway and say so, rather than waiting for evidence that may never arrive.
