Performance is Riedel's range with a fluted interior to the bowl, which they argue increases the surface area and so the aromatics. This is the Riesling shape at 623ml, which is a generous bowl for a white and will do perfectly well for a light red. Thirty-one pounds a glass is Riedel pricing for a machine-made glass, and the flute is the thing you are paying the premium for.
