Classic 3-Seater Acacia Wood Garden Bench
John Lewis · £279
Worth being NRY provisional
Solid acacia, slatted, seats three, £279. Acacia is the rung below teak: naturally weather-resistant and genuinely cheap, but it wants an annual oiling and John Lewis themselves say to bring it in or cover it over winter. Do that and it is the best value in this category by a distance; leave it out uncovered for five British winters and it will look it.
- For
- Anyone who wants a proper wooden bench without spending four figures on one.
- Not for
- Someone who wants furniture they can forget about outdoors all year. Teak does that; acacia does not.

Marked provisional: the justification rests on 1 source(s); two independent ones is the bar. We publish it anyway and say so, rather than waiting for evidence that may never arrive.
