Worth being NRY provisional
Planar magnetic drivers with ultra-thin diaphragms, 372g, and 37 ohms, which means most phones and laptops will drive them without a separate amplifier. At £169 this is the cheapest way into planar sound, and planar is a genuinely different thing from the dynamic drivers everything else in this category uses. The cover is one year, which is the shortest here.
- For
- Someone curious about open-back planar sound who does not want to buy an amplifier to try it.
- Not for
- Anyone who needs isolation: open-back headphones leak in both directions.
