Wool Birdseye Suit
Hackett · £900

Nice, but provisional
The same Loro Piana wool as the plain navy, in birdseye, which is a tiny dotted weave that reads as texture across a room rather than as pattern. That is the useful thing about it: it is a second navy suit that does not look like the first one. Cut to a slimmer silhouette and lightweight, so it is a three-season suit rather than a winter one.
- For
- Someone who owns a plain navy and wants a second that is not obviously the same suit.
- Not for
- Anyone buying their only suit. Start with the plain one.
What we checked
- Pure wool woven in Italy by Loro Piana, cut to a modern silhouette. Hackett
- Lightweight but structured. Hackett
- All wool. Hackett
Marked provisional: the justification rests on 1 source(s); two independent ones is the bar. We publish it anyway and say so, rather than waiting for evidence that may never arrive.
