Ninety-eight kilos of reclaimed teak, two metres by one. Reclaimed teak has already spent a lifetime outdoors in another form, so the wood has finished moving: it is the most stable material in this category and it comes with marks it earned somewhere else, which you either want or do not. At £1,600 it is dear for a table and cheap for a piece of furniture nobody will replace.
