Tamitio Fountain Pen
Graf von Faber-Castell · £198

Nice, but provisional
Graf von Faber-Castell is the upper house of the same family, and the Tamitio is their entry: a fluted metal barrel, beautifully finished, with a rhodium-plated steel nib. The finish genuinely is a step above the ordinary Faber-Castell line. The nib is not, and at close to two hundred pounds you are a few pounds away from gold elsewhere in this list.
- For
- Somebody who wants the object to feel expensive in the hand, which this does.
- Not for
- Anyone who believes the nib is the pen, which is the orthodox view and a reasonable one.
What we checked
Marked provisional: the justification rests on 1 source(s); two independent ones is the bar. We publish it anyway and say so, rather than waiting for evidence that may never arrive.
