Forerunner 70
Garmin · £199

Worth being NRY provisional
£199 and the cheapest thing here, which Garmin are honest about: a bright modern running watch without the bulk or the cost of the ones above it. For someone who runs three times a week and wants pace, distance and heart rate, everything beyond this is a hobby in itself. The display is the compromise against the AMOLED watches.
- For
- Someone who runs regularly and wants the data without a research project.
- Not for
- Anyone who swims open water or climbs, where the rugged models earn their money.
What we checked
- Garmin position it as a bright modern watch without the bulk or cost of the high-end models. Sigma Sports
Marked provisional: the justification rests on 1 source(s); two independent ones is the bar. We publish it anyway and say so, rather than waiting for evidence that may never arrive.
