e-motion Fountain Pen
Faber-Castell · £145

Nice, but provisional
Faber-Castell's e-motion is unusually short and unusually fat, which sounds like a criticism and is the entire design: the barrel fills the hand without needing length, so it is comfortable posted or not. The nib is steel with a black PVD coating, which is a hard finish rather than a plating that wears. At a hundred and forty-five pounds the money is in the shape and the finish rather than in the writing end.
- For
- Somebody with large hands who finds conventional pens thin and fiddly.
- Not for
- Anyone shopping by nib. There is a gold-nibbed pen here for fifty pounds more.
What we checked
- A steel nib with a black PVD coating. Cult Pens
Marked provisional: the justification rests on 1 source(s); two independent ones is the bar. We publish it anyway and say so, rather than waiting for evidence that may never arrive.
