Epson · £569

Worth being NRY provisional
£569 and 4,000 lumens, which is the number that matters more than any other here: this is bright enough to watch in a room with the curtains open, and most projectors at this money are not. Epson position it from home office to home cinema, which is honest. It is a lamp rather than a laser, so budget for a replacement eventually.
- For
- Someone who wants a big picture in an ordinary living room that does not black out.
- Not for
- Anyone who wants to never think about consumables: the lamp is a wearing part.
What we checked
- 4,000 lumens, which Epson aim at daytime viewing. Richer Sounds
Marked provisional: the justification rests on 1 source(s); two independent ones is the bar. We publish it anyway and say so, rather than waiting for evidence that may never arrive.
