The Combi takes two slots and two sandwich cages, so it toasts and it makes toasted sandwiches without a separate machine. At £219.95 it is the dearest two-slice here and it is answering a question most households do not ask. If you do make toasted sandwiches weekly it replaces an appliance; if you do not, the plain Classic Vario is £55 less.
