Games Blazer Mk. VII, Harris Tweed

Drake's · £895

A navy Harris Tweed blazer with patch pockets, shown from the front.

Worth being NRY provisional

Harris Tweed in the same unstructured Games cut, at £895. Harris Tweed is the only cloth protected by its own Act of Parliament: it must be handwoven at the weaver's home in the Outer Hebrides from virgin Scottish wool, which is a guarantee of origin almost nothing else in clothing carries. It will be too warm indoors and exactly right in a cold field.

For
Someone who wants a jacket with genuine provenance and spends time outdoors in it.
Not for
Anyone who runs warm or works somewhere heated, where tweed is punishing.

What we checked

  • It uses the relaxed Games cut rather than Drake's tailored silhouette. Drake's

Marked provisional: the justification rests on 1 source(s); two independent ones is the bar. We publish it anyway and say so, rather than waiting for evidence that may never arrive.
