£68 for a flat knit in cashmere and silk, and the silk is doing something real: it adds strength where cashmere alone is weak, and a sheen that cashmere alone does not have. It is also £43 above the cashmere blend, and for a sock that spends its life inside a shoe the case gets harder to make the longer you look at it.
