Brixton Towel
Christy · £12

Worth being NRY provisional
Six hundred grams of combed cotton at twelve pounds, from a maker that states the weight, the fibre treatment and the country on the page. Combing is the step that removes the short fibres before spinning, which is why a combed-cotton towel stays smooth instead of pilling. This is the best value in the category by a wide margin and there is nothing clever about why: it is the same specification other towels here charge twice for.
- For
- Anyone buying six towels at once, or anyone who has read the rest of this list.
- Not for
- Someone who wants a colour or a texture to look at. This is a plain working towel.
What we checked
- Combed cotton at 600gsm, made in India. Christy
Marked provisional: the justification rests on 1 source(s); two independent ones is the bar. We publish it anyway and say so, rather than waiting for evidence that may never arrive.
