Carbon steel alloy blades with a DLC coating, in the shape that has been the professional standard since the nineteen fifties. Carbon steel takes a keener edge than stainless and the diamond coating stops it dulling, which is the combination barbers pay for. The Senior is a fading clipper and a stubborn one: it is not the fastest thing here and it will still be working when several of these are not.
