Wahl Legend+ Professional Clipper
Wahl · £150

Worth being NRY provisional
Six and a half thousand revolutions a minute from a rotary motor, in the shape barbers call a fading clipper. A rotary motor is the all-rounder of the three types: slower than a magnetic but with far more torque, so it keeps cutting through dense hair where a faster motor stalls. The Legend is the one most commonly recommended for fades, and at a hundred and fifty pounds it is the middle of this range.
- For
- Anybody learning to fade, which is what most people actually want a clipper for.
- Not for
- A quick dry trim, where a magnetic motor is faster and lighter.
What we checked
- A 6,500 RPM rotary motor for consistent cutting power. Capital Hair & Beauty
