EOS R7, body only
Canon · £1,349

Worth being NRY provisional
32.5 megapixels on an APS-C sensor with up to eight stops of stabilisation, £1,349. The crop sensor is an advantage rather than a compromise for wildlife and sport, because it makes every telephoto lens reach further for nothing. Eight stops means usable handheld shots at shutter speeds that should not work.
- For
- Someone photographing birds, sport or anything far away on a budget that excludes long lenses.
- Not for
- Anyone wanting shallow depth of field at a given framing, where full-frame wins.
What we checked
- A 32.5MP APS-C sensor with up to eight stops of stabilisation and Dual Pixel CMOS AF II. Park Cameras
Marked provisional: the justification rests on 1 source(s); two independent ones is the bar. We publish it anyway and say so, rather than waiting for evidence that may never arrive.
