Px7 S3
Bowers & Wilkins · £399

Worth being NRY provisional
The third generation of the Px7, and the generation is the point: B&W have iterated this specific headphone three times rather than relaunching a name. Eight microphones on the noise cancelling and support for aptX Lossless, which the dearer Px8 above it does not list. At £399 it is the most wireless headphone here that does not ask you to pay for cast aluminium and leather.
- For
- Someone who flies or commutes and wants one pair that does everything acceptably.
- Not for
- Anyone listening critically at a desk, where wireless and cancelling both cost you something, or anyone who wants the better-built pair.
What we checked
- It is the latest of a multi-generation line of noise-cancelling headphones. Richer Sounds
- It supports aptX Lossless as well as aptX Adaptive, and uses eight microphones for noise cancelling. Richer Sounds
Marked provisional: the justification rests on 1 source(s); two independent ones is the bar. We publish it anyway and say so, rather than waiting for evidence that may never arrive.
