Watch Ultra 4, 49mm titanium
Apple · £749
Nice, but provisional
£749 of titanium, and the best smartwatch to own if you have an iPhone, which is also the condition on all of it: this does nothing at all for an Android phone. Apple claim multi-day battery, which against the fourteen days of a £219.99 Garmin tells you what sort of multi-day they mean. As a watch for sport it is beaten here; as a watch for living it is not.
- For
- Someone on an iPhone who wants one object for notifications, payments and exercise.
- Not for
- Anyone on Android, and anyone whose priority is training data or battery life.
What we checked
- Apple position it as a running and sports watch with multi-day battery life. John Lewis
Marked provisional: the justification rests on 1 source(s); two independent ones is the bar. We publish it anyway and say so, rather than waiting for evidence that may never arrive.
